CAD Computer-Aided-Design | Makerspace Lab

CAD Computer-Aided-Design | Makerspace Lab In-Person

Welcome to our workshop on Computer-Aided Design (CAD), where you will learn how to use popular CAD software like TinkerCAD and Fusion 360.

In this workshop, we will start by introducing you to the fundamentals of CAD, including an overview of the software and its applications. We will then dive into TinkerCAD and OnShape, two widely used software programs in the CAD community. You will learn how to navigate the software, create basic shapes and objects, and apply basic modifications to your designs.

Next, we will explore how to import STL files from websites like Thingiverse and modify them to suit your needs. We will cover how to use basic tools like scaling, mirroring, and rotating to modify the imported designs, and how to combine different STL files to create more complex objects.

Throughout the workshop, you will have hands-on opportunities to work on your own designs with the support of our instructors. You will have access to high-quality printers to print your designs and get feedback on your work.

Our team of experienced instructors will be available to answer any questions you may have about CAD and guide you through the design process. By the end of this workshop, you will have a solid foundation in CAD design and the skills needed to import, modify, and create your own designs.
